a yoga teacher and wellbeing guide.

I work with business owners to develop strategies and practices around their entire wellbeing, so you can lead happier, healthier, more balanced lives. Together we will navigate your personalised and unique wellbeing journey. 

I left my established career in interactive design after 20 years, as much as I loved the work, the pressure of deadlines saw me cycle through burnout, fatigue, anxiety and stress-related health issues.

I see these same patterns of exhaustion and stress in my friends, family and colleagues, this led me to create Bija. My vision for Bija is for it to become a wellbeing movement, a trusted partner and resource of practices, tools and information that help people lead better lives and prioritise wellbeing.

My Journey Begins

Growing up, I believed that pain was normal and that it was just something that I had to deal with every day. It wasn't until I discovered the healing power of yoga over 20 years ago, that I learned that we are naturally designed to heal. This revelation inspired me to delve deeper into other aspects of wellbeing, including mental health, the physical body and anatomy, nutrition, sleep, and self care. Sometimes our capacity to heal gets compromised from stress, injury or circumstance, but we are all capable of regaining this ability with the right tools, knowledge and mindset. 

Speaking of tools, over the years, I have acquired a pretty extensive toolkit of wellbeing knowledge and practices that help me not just survive, but thrive. My personal journey has taught me that there is not one path to wellbeing. It's a complex issue that requires a personalised approach, which is why I work with individuals to create unique wellbeing journeys tailored to their specific needs. That's why I believe that everybody can achieve some level of vitality, balance, and wellness in their lives with the right guidance and consistent effort.

In addition to my yoga practice and exercise, incorporating meditation and mindfulness into my weekly practice has been a game-changer for me. These practices have been incredibly helpful to me, they have helped me to deal with stress and manage my thoughts and emotions in far healthier ways.
